Following meticulous restoration by the Puccioni family, the castle is a treasure trove of original features that have been lovingly brought back to their former glory with the careful restoration of centuries-old frescoes, family crests and vaulted ceilings to bring to life the enchanting grandeur of the rich historical past of this region blend with the modern facilities.
The Villa can accommodate 12 people, 6 Bedrooms: 4 Doubles and 2 Twins 6 Bathrooms, and is within easy reach of Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, Pisa and Lucca for those who want to explore the beautiful surroundings. The villa’s proximity to Florence and major Tuscan routes allows guests staying at Villa La Romantica to easily explore Chianti and all of Tuscany’s tourist attractions.
The castle dates from 1210 when Caput Aulae (its Latin name) was built by the Counts of Alberti as the centre of the court of Val d’Elsa, and is situated about 30 Km from Florence.
The Villa is rented on a weekly base from Saturday to Saturday.

– Cleaning rooms is done 7 days in the week between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm
– Swimming pool from April to end of September
– Linen and towels change once a week
– Electricity consumption up to 300 KWatt

– Cook and any additional service (15 euro per hour)
– Heating charged on usage 4.50 euro per unit
– Electricity consumption over the first 300 KWatt 0.50 euro per unit
– Tourism Tax: 1.00 euro per person per day to a maximum of 6 nights, children under 14 years old are exempted
