Wild Rose is a beachfront villa in Tuscany Coast. It is one of very few houses positioned directly by the sea, and is the only one that has a private cabin built on stilts directly on the beach. It has a private swimming pool.

Owned by the aristocratic Della Gherardesca family, Wild Rose is located behind an unspoiled wild sandy beach of the Maremma, Marina di Castagnetto Carducci.

Wild Rose was a horse outpost of the aristocratic Della Gherardesca family whose roots in Tuscany date back to 1600. This fascinating property is immersed and surrounded by its own private park of approximately seven hectares inside the Natural Reserve of Rimigliano, a typical

lush Mediterranean Pine bush. Wild Rose is situated along the Tuscan Coast in the upper Maremma, close to Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri. It is one of the very few properties in this area to be positioned directly on the coast, just one hundred meters from the beach and the only one that has its own private bathing cabin right on the beach. Overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and the beautiful landscapes of Maremma, this is one of the best preserved, untouched and most charming areas of the Tuscan coast – rich in Etruscan sites and offering the largest natural marine park in the Mediterranean.

Wild Rose was renovated in 2011 with the inclusion of five fabulous new bathrooms and yet it has retained its beautiful and charming character with its original furniture, paintings and classic décor. Tasteful textiles and colours have been incorporated throughout the villa be it in the attractive bedrooms, the stylish living room or the wonderful Tuscan kitchen. This is a glorious family home with every comfort one could wish for as well as complete privacy and just a short walk barefoot to the sandy beach with its umbrella pines for an early morning swim. Exceptionally the private beach cabin provides guests the luxury of enjoying delicious meals of fresh local ingredients accompanied by one of the many fine wines of this area.

The fact that it is home to some of the most prestigious wine producers such as Incisa della Rocchetta, Antinori and many others producing wines famous all around the world such as “Sassicaia”, “Ornellaia”, “Guado al Tasso”. Excellent staff at Wild Rose means that guests can completely relax and unwind in this blissful location be it in the gardens of the villa, listening to music in the gorgeous and spacious living room or lying on the beach as the sun sets across the Mediterranean.

ACTIVITIES AND SOURROUNDING AREAS

Fifteen minutes north is the famous wine making town of Bolgheri, home to some of the best Italian wineries including Sassicaia, Ornellaia and Guado al Tasso. The medieval town is small, charming and full of great restaurants.

A few kilometers south lays the Baratti bay and the town of Populonia, amongst the beautiful beaches and steep forests you can find Etruscan ruins everywhere. Tours are available.

The port of San Vincenzo offers many services from boat rentals, sport fishing, tours of the Tuscan Archipelago to dinning and bars.
