Villa Spinaltermine

Villa Spinaltermine is a wonderful property full of light and is reached by following a 3 km private road. The grounds and gardens include sheltered sitting and eating areas and an ancient olive grove.
The 14 x 7.5 m overflow heated swimming pool with pool house, changing room, kitchenette and covered dining area means a carefree day by the pool.

Spinaltermine is part of Castello di Reschio, a very private estate and nature reserve that covers 2,700 acres of Umbrian countryside on the border with Tuscany. This is the green heart of Italy, a land of rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves and woods of oak and chestnut, where little has changed since St Francis of Assisi preached here in the Middle Ages. The villa’s interiors are furnished with a mix of antique and modern pieces that share a neutral palette and high style. In the airy living room, flooded with light by a metal-edged window, tufted sofas are gathered around a wicker coffee table and stately white fireplace. The cozy library, accessed through French doors, is decorated in statement-making black and white, and the dining room mixes a modern table and chairs, antique urn and original stone walls with aplomb. The showstopping fully equipped kitchen has a beamed ceiling, industrial-style windows and large breakfast bar.

There are four bedrooms in the main house at Spinaltermine, and one in the guest house. In the main house, three of the bedrooms have double beds and en-suite bathrooms, and one has two twin beds and a bathroom. The guest house has a bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. Many of the bedrooms have beamed ceilings and chic, graphic black and white decor, and all of the bathrooms have heated towel racks.
